Invisalign
If you have mild to moderate alignment issues, Invisalign is a system that comprises clear aligners that are made of plastic and are worn over the teeth like a gumshield (but far more streamlined as they can be custom-made for your mouth precisely!). They apply a small amount of pressure to your teeth to push them into the desired positions. You will need to change your aligners on a weekly basis and will be provided with 6 weeks’ worth of aligners at a time, after which you will need to come and see your dentist Brentwood here at Coptfold Dental to have a checkup and receive the next batch. The aligners are removable for up to 2 hours a day, which will allow you to eat and drink without wearing them, as well as play sports or catch up with friends – whatever you fancy!
QuickStraightTeeth (QST)
Another treatment we offer is QuickStraightTeeth (QST). We have two appliances that we can discuss in this range. We offer a clear aligner option, like Invisalign, and the other is like an Inman aligner where you have clear brackets and wires that sit on the front of the teeth but are barely visible due to their transparent appearance and wire that is the same colour as your teeth. Treatment times will depend on your individual needs, but with aligners, it can be as little as 4-24 weeks; or 6 months with the brackets if you have mild alignment issues.
Smilelign
Smilelign is similar to Invisalign in that it involves using clear aligners to realign your smile. Whether you have Invisalign or Smilelign will depend on your alignment issues and what our dentist Brentwood advises – and your preference! To decide upon which is the right treatment for you, you will need to book an initial consultation with us. We will use that time to examine your mouth thoroughly, discuss your concerns and answer any questions you may have. We will then be able to determine which is the right treatment option for you.
