An introduction to our practice

Based in the heart of Brentwood, Coptfold Dental was established over 50 years ago and has been providing high quality dental treatments for new and existing patients ever since. Today, our practice is led by Dr Himesh Patel who alongside our experienced team of dental professionals, provides high quality dental treatments to our patients. We believe in putting the needs of the patient first which is why we offer bespoke treatment options and take our time to identify your dental needs, all whilst offering both a comfortable and welcoming environment.

If you have not visited our practice before not to worry, just contact us and we will book you in for a new patient appointment.

What to expect as a new patient

When you arrive at our practice for the first time, you will be met by our friendly receptionist who will ask you to fill out our forms requiring your dental and medical history before being seen by our dentist in Brentwood. Our dentist will sit down with you to discuss your dental needs and if you have any goals for your teeth. Following this our dentist in Brentwood will carry out a full assessment of your teeth, gums and mouth. This will include X-rays and digital photographs which will assist us in creating a bespoke plan for you should you decide to have dental treatment. When creating this plan, we will discuss all suitable treatment options for your dental concerns, so that you are fully informed before starting any treatment. Once the treatment has been agreed, you will be invited back to our practice for another appointment.

If you are not having any further dental treatment, our dentist will advise you to book a routine appointment. This will usually be in a year’s time, but this time period varies from patient to patient.

If during the assessment our dentist notices a build-up of plaque or you have raised hygiene issues such as bad breath, you will be advised to book an appointment with our dental hygienist.

Dental hygiene at the practice

Dental hygiene is an important part of dentistry which is why at our practice, we offer our patients dental hygiene treatment to promote good oral health and prevent oral infections such as tooth decay and gum disease. Our experienced dental hygienist is able to identify the amount of plaque build-up on your teeth, remove plaque from hard-to-reach areas in your mouth using a procedure called ‘scale and polish’ and show you how to maintain healthy teeth and gums by giving bespoke advice.
